Many happy returns to Forte dei Marmi. This year, in fact, the city celebrates 100 years of the founding of the comune. In order to organise the celebrations, a Centenary Committee has been started, run by Umberto Donati; there will be many activities organised in order to make the most of the celebrations. On facebook, to pay tribute to those people, personalities and businesses who enriched the city during its first century and the competition, “A hundred times thank you” has been launched: a series of posters with the best suggested slogans on the social networks. “A hundred times Strong” is the slogan chosen for the official centenary logo. Amongst programmed events, there will also be a football match, “Heart day”, between famous people and footballers from the Viareggio stadium, expected to happen next July with a Guiness world record lunch, in collaboration with the bathing establishments of the area.
