The Feast of Sant’Ermete, in honour of the town’s patron saint, is one of the highlights of the year in Forte dei Marmi.
The varied programme starts on August 26th with the Palio dei Bagni and a procession with historical costumes and flag-bearers.
On the August 27th there are open-air Tombola games, music by folk bands and the traditional “focata”.
A market takes over the streets of the town on August 28th, selling all sorts of curiosities and plenty of local gastronomic delights.
The celebration ends each year with an unforgettable bang – a fireworks show on the pier.
